Downtown

Lola has been talking a lot lately about going downtown. She likes the action, the people, the connection. So, because she likes it so much, we decided to go ahead and open our new outpost, piccolini:rittenhouse. Now you can find us in one of two places -- piccolini:main line (the original) located at 932 w. lancaster ave., bryn mawr, pa 19010 or piccolini:rittenhouse (new kid on the block coming the first week of august) located at 264 S. 20th street, philadelphia, pa 19103. Lola thought Petula Clark expressed how she feels best in her 1965 hit, "Downtown".Click Here then minimize the new window so you can sing along with Petula (we know you want to): When you're alone and life is making you lonely You can always go - downtown When you've got worries, all the noise and the hurry Seems to help, I know - downtown Just listen to the music of ...

Good things come to those who wait (or to those interested in instant gratification)

So right now, we are into this whole positive reinforcement thing in our house. Lola hits, we try to ignore it, but when she's gentle, we give her praise (read: food, kisses, etc.). So, Piccolini, thanks to Lola, has instituted our frequent buyer program where we reward you each time you reach a certain level of purchasing power! The points are cumulative so here's how it works: Silver level: buy $500 worth of stuff (at once or over time) and you get a $25 credit for a future purchase. Gold level: buy $1000 worth of stuff (at once or over time) ...

Go Green!

April 11, 2008 – 2:29 am
I'm not sure what has spurred Lola's current interest in the environment. Maybe it's her recent appreciation for the Sound of Music (the Hills ARE Alive). Regardless, she has become increasingly concerned with living a healthy life on a healthy planet. So, at Lola's request, Piccolini now has an entire section devoted to organic and green products (our "Green Shop") where we feature furniture made from materials harvested using environmentally-sound practices, low VOC lacquers and finishes and organically grown and produced products from toiletries to clothes and bedding. We just took on a new collection of furniture and bedding into our Green Shop from a very cool company called Q Collection Jr. So check it and the Green Shop out the next time you want to do something healthy and safe for your little one and the planet! .

whatever lola wants, lola gets! welcome to lola's first blog entry. seeing as how she can only say single words, she has expressed her blog ideas and thoughts to me and i will translate so that you can understand what it is she has to say (and she has an awful lot to say, let me tell you!) this week lola wanted me to tell you how pretty she feels in the toddler clips by giddygiddy. available in florals, fruits and animals, these clips are perfect for your little ones with a little more hair than the baby clips can fit. and lola also wanted me to tell you that you should check back periodically because the folks at giddygiddy have told us that they are working on hair elastics, too! yay! thanks for tuning in to this first edition of lola's blog and make sure you keep checking ...
