So it’s obvious that the room, once finished, will provide Lola with a lot more room to grow, learn, play and sleep. But, it has been sitting as a rarely-used and unfinished guest room, storage room, you name it.
Here are the official “before pictures.” It is going to be so fun to see this thing evolve! Click on the pictures for larger views.

Our cork board of ideas, the bulletin board is where we post our newest design additions to Lola’s Big Girl Room. From bedding to furniture to lighting and other decor, this is where we will keep you up to date on all things “re-design.” Here is our first post:

Lola's New Room
Lola is now officially a “big girl” and she will correct you toute suite should make the misstep of calling her a “little girl.” So, it is only natural that my big girl has outgrown her little girl crib and the room it houses. Her current nursery is close to my room, smaller in size and lacks ample closet space for my burgeoning shoe-lover. So, she’s moving rooms, farther from mommy’s bedroom, but just as close to my heart. Her room will double in size, so now we have to try and fill it! I have decided, with my big-girl’s permission, to document our journey from little girl nursery to big girl sanctuary. So here we are at the beginning. Missteps, as I’m sure my big girl will point out, are sure to trip us up along the way, BUT, as they say, it’s the journey….

Our rocker.

We are keeping the dresser, ditching the changer top...
